I just discovered Mooji, a wonderful guru with a gift of clear communication. Give him a listen!
Why Blue Buddha?
The Blue Buddha is the medicine or healing Buddha of Tibetan Buddhism. Due to the Eastern origins of the Usui Reiki Method of Natural Healing, I felt inspired to bring this to the name of my Reiki and Energy Bodywork practice. Though Master Usui was from Japan, he was a lay Buddhist and as such his spiritual understanding of healing is the basis of the Reiki process.
How do Energy Modalities work?
Everything is energy. The cells in your body, the thoughts from your mind, the love in your heart, the food that you eat...all of this and everything we interact with is energy producing different forms.
When the body's energy centers or meridian lines become blocked by denser, heavy vibrating energies the results are dis-ease and illness. Sometimes this is a result of a pattern of thinking or lifestyle habit and other times a spiritual agreement for the highest good of all involved. However, always the healing journey requires growth in interaction with one's soul self.
Within the palms of the hands, there are chakra or cakra centers which aid an energy body work practitioner in hands on healing. The life force energy is channeled or transmitted through the body of the practitioner and out through the hands into the chakras and body tissue of the recipient. As well, because energy is always moving through the body, a practitioner can also use eyes, feet, breath and the whole body to transmit this energy; generally this kind of ability depends on the proficiency of the practitioner and their particular belief systems.
Reiki uses the energetic understanding of entrainment. The practitioner through the daily practice of connecting with Life Force through self treatment, meditation, prayer and living life with the Five Principles has raised their personal energy vibration and strengthened their ability to connect with and transmit Reiki to the healer who comes to receive healing (also known as the client). During that exchange, the healer's energy level responds to that of the practitioner, either choosing to vibrate at the same level and then self maintaining or choosing to stay at low level vibration.
BodyTalk is more analytical and probing where Reiki is diffuse. A protocol of questions and answers is utilized to get to the specific areas which want balancing. However, the life filters, specific belief systems and fields of interest of the practitioner will influence the BodyTalk session, just as in Reiki or any other Applied Energy Bodywork. The use of the hand chakras is extremely important in BodyTalk; the application is just a bit different, but the use is the same: completing a circuit.
Healing is spiritual and emotional as well as physical; the current soul work may not be very palatable or even understood, which results in blocks to receiving and maintaining the higher vibration. However, the more one practices with the energy, the longer the entrainment will last and the more direct the changes will be felt in lifestyle and behaviour patterns. The main goal is to respect the personal process, learning and sharing a more true, vibrant you.
Healing of the self is a multi-layered process to be respected and honored. Reiki, BodyTalk, Sound and other Applied Energy Bodywork modalities help open the heart to the possibilities of living and working with this process, including dis-ease and the end stages of life in the human body form.
